Responsibilities
You will be a confident, customer focussed pre-sales professional with exceptional presentation skills. You will champion and drive all aspects of the pre-sales opportunity – including requirements gathering, project scoping, solution proposals and bid management. This role is highly collaborative, and the successful candidate will be expected to draw upon the skills of multiple experts across our business in helping to define and present solutions that best solve our customers’ most challenging business problems.
- Understand customers’ commercial and operational business drivers and help to translate these requirements to build, scope and propose appropriate solutions.
- Coordinate and lead the pre-sales solutioning cycle including discovery, build vision, RFP/RFI responses and proof of concepts. Understand and articulate the overall solution value and vision to prospects and customers.
- Work closely with remote technical, solutioning and development teams to identify and recommend suitable solutions, and contribute advice and guidance on customer needs and requirements.
- Deliver online and in-person solution demos and be comfortable and confident conversing with multiple customer stakeholders including; IT Staff, Architects, Business Users, Managers and C-Suite executives.
- Collaborate across various internal teams in helping to create and present the Venerate POV on the latest offerings. Provide input on various assets including solution briefs, presentations, demos, POCs etc.
- Own the handover process for new customers to ensure smooth transition from pre- to post-sales delivery.
- Maintain an excellent level of knowledge of competition, customer issues, opportunities and products.
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
- Highly commercially aware, able to understand and interrogate critical business requirements and translate those needs into a compelling vision and roadmap.
- Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication, with strong relationship building skills. Fluency in English.
- Proven time management skills and a sense of urgency in getting things done.
- Inquisitive and passionate about technology and knowledge sharing.
- Familiar and comfortable working within a fast-paced sales environment.
- Working with SaaS software such as SFDC (preferred), Netsuite, Workday, etc.
- 4+ years experience in Presales.
